Glendurgan Maze

On the Helston Estuary nr Falmouth, CORNWALL

A very pretty, sheltered garden on the banks of the Helford River, at Durgan, through which you can walk down to the beach. Spectacular in spring when the magnolias and rhododendrons are in flower.

Famous for its laurel maze and Giant’s Stride Maypole and if you drive there through Gweek and Constantine (stop at The Potager for a coffee and cake or  vegetarian lunch if you can find it among the tangle of lanes), you have lovely wooded and riverside views and even a seal sanctuary to visit at nearby Gweek.
