  1. Irises are beautiful flowers. When we lived in South Carolina, a friend gave us a few divisions from her irises (violet iris). Within a couple of years’ time, our house was surrounded with them. I brought a few here to the Texas Gulf Coast, planted them, and they never bloomed. I was so disappointed to have lost them.

    Your photographs are gorgeous!

    Have a great day.

    • Thanks for your visit and lovely comment. Maybe you could try again with a different variety? Or plant some in a container? I grow the tiny reticulata variety in pots and they do well.

      • You’re welcome. I will have to do some research to see which varieties will grow in such a climate as the one I’m in now. We’re in US growing zone 9, I believe, so they will have to like heat, that’s for sure!

        Have a great day!
