My dad grew dahlias too – I remember the earwigs most though!

Beautiful Dahlia, dear Jude. The Dahlia is indeed a fine reminder that we are well into glorious autumn.
Fond greetings, Dina and the other three ❤️❤️❤️❤️

So many varieties and colours and shapes, they are such lovely flowers.

Lovely Dahlia, Jude….but what’s Critchon honey?!

Oh yes, but it must be named after something, or most likely someone actually 🙂

So pretty, Jude! A perfect bloom. My stepdad was a big chrysanths man, before all the fancy modern ones came along. 🙂

  5. Those delicious petals curled into cones and the delicate pink edges! A truly splendid photo, taken at just the right angle.i’ve never quite understood the passion for dahlias my grandfather had: I do now.

They are lovely to photograph – so many shapes and textures as well as the colours. Not sure I’d grow them, but you never know!
