  1. I’ve missed your frequent presence. It was good to see you in my mailbox again, and with such colour. I’m reading “Wildwood: a journey through trees” by Roger Deakin as my morning slow read, and this morning’s chapter was a fascinating account of the process of colouring and falling. All this makes me miss autumn – it’s not a feature of the Australian bush, although there are a few deciduous natives.

Hi Meg, it’s been strange not having ANY connectivity for a week! We should have some good colour here this autumn as the warm summer creates lots of sugar – but we need a cold snap, otherwise if it is just warm and wet the leaves will just fall without the dramatic colours happening.

This is such a wonderful picture, I love these colours and the beautiful quote to go with it. Sadly, the leaves are sometimes turning red so fast and falling down right after it has been cold once…
Thanks so much for taking part!!! xx See you next week 😉

Very windy and wet here at the moment Verena, so the leaves are falling far too fast!

Beautiful colours, light and harmony, one of my autumn favourites!

I love autumn days like this one when the air is clean and bright and the colours sharp.

  4. On a clear day in autumn there is just something really special about the light and intense blue of the sky. You have caught it brilliantly. 🙂

I’m sitting! Nice to watch them drift past. 🙂

A bit too dark here to see anything very much!

We have spotlights in the garden but I was just being fanciful 🙂
