Festival of Leaves: Leaves are falling

DSCF5278

Well, it’s a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
’Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I’m trying to please to the calling
Of your heartstrings that play soft and low…

    I like the red leaves!

    1. Heyjude says:

      Red makes such a statement!

  2. Sammy D. says:

Perfect song selection, and each of those trees has ‘dancing branches’! Love it.

    1. Heyjude says:

Actually whilst I was photographing that red maple a real squall came in and leaves rained down on us! There was a lot less left on the tree after that!

      1. Sammy D. says:

Yeah, it’s just a matter of time before that happens here. I have 2 red maples outside my window and it’s heavenly right now to just sit and daydream in the sun’s glow through the colors.

        1. Heyjude says:

They must be gorgeous – if I only have space for one tree it will have to be a Japanese maple. Their colours are stunning.

        2. Sammy D. says:

Oh yes! My former next door neighbor had one and our patios connected so it was “almost mine.” I think of Japanese maples as the ballerinas of trees 🙂

    Wow!!!

That second is SO pretty, Jude! I needed a soundtrack but I had to make do with singing along. 🙂

Fabulous! 🙂 Thanks, Jude. The effects are beautiful aren’t they?

        1. Heyjude says:

          It’s a great song too 🙂

      Many thanks 🙂

  7. A lovely post! Beautiful photographs Jude, and ‘fantabulous’ choice of music too. 🙂

Fantastic post Jude, I’m missing the magical autumn colours already after the colours of Tasmania in autumn. And I just love that moody Moon dance song, one of my favourites.

    1. Heyjude says:

Seems VM is very popular! I must admit I have listened to it several times. Must go seek out my CDs 🙂

Tasmania is still a place I want to visit – would you recommend the autumn months then?

      1. pommepal says:

We were in Hobart May/June last year. I have only been to Tasmania once, but hope to go again. I loved it in Autumn but I can imagine spring would be very special too Jude. Here is a post I did about the autumn time in the Hobart Botanical Gardens http://pommepal.wordpress.com/2013/05/09/royal-tasmanian-botanic-garden/
