  1. Strange to have you photographing in my hemisphere! Irises are certainly part of many home gardens here – my uncle collected them in his Sydney garden and when he died my brother transported them to an iris-only area in his Canberra garden. Yesterday, I saw them preparing to bloom in a friend’s garden on the south coast.

  2. Yes, it is strange having both of you ‘down under’. I might even get to grips with the time difference, except that Meg gets out of bed earlier than you, Jude. 🙂 Have a lovely time with that grandbaby!

    • Apart from today Jo I have been up at 6 am! But I am exhausted by the evening! The grandbaby is grand. Still very tiny, but full of wriggles and smiles. I am having lots of cuddles 🙂

    • I think you are dead right PP – thank you! I see it is a kind of iris. Flagging a bit today, quite sticky here which I didn’t expect it to be. I also have a horrid cold which doesn’t help 😦

    • Feeling much better now – I took your advice and have been eating a ruby red grapefruit every morning for breakfast – that caused some raised eyebrows in the hotel as I had to dissect it myself! Now got a big bag of oranges to juice each morning too – so juicy!

let's get chatting...
