The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
And miles to go before I sleep

  1. Always loved that poem.

I love broad-leaved woodlands where the light shines in and bluebells and anemones grow, but not those horrible dark gloomy forests of pine trees which look so dead. As you say, good poem. Any luck yet?

      1. Got our eye on one property but it’s too much money. Thought we’d price a kitchen for it and make a silly offer. BTW I’ve just read in the Times that Ludlow is one of the 50 best places in the country to live. Thought of staying put?

That’s why it is one of the most expensive places to buy a house in! Honestly you’d think we were in the south-east. OK, we could afford a little bungalow on an estate on the edge of town, but that’s not what I want at this stage of my life. And anyway, no sea.

        2. Gotcha. Aldeburgh in Suffolk is on the list. I’m not sure we could even afford a garden shed there.

Aldeburgh is adorable! I think I found a 2 bed there that we could afford. No garden though 😦 and no studio for the OH 😦

    Love this photo, Jude!

Thanks Sue – I liked the light and the smoke from a bonfire in the distance.
