Clematis in decay

Nalinki at Angles and Views has started #flowersoverflowers where we can share our favourite blossoms of the week. It seems like a good idea to spread some blooms across the Internet. I am more than happy to join in.

  1. Really lovely shot, Jude. Mom’s favourite colour. 🙂

It’s gorgeous isn’t it? Rich purple like a jewel.

  2. (Are you part-channelling Sue?) This makes our delicate dense swathes of clematis look pallid.

    1. Heyjude says:

Haha, no, just the way our flowers are going right now. Though my neighbour’s clematis is looking good.

Meg just voiced my thoughts re Sue 🙂 I haven’t seen her about in my quick flits in and out. Is she still around or engaged in the move? I’m home, anyway, so I guess I’ll get back in the loop eventually. When are you off again?

    1. Heyjude says:

Sue is taking a break whilst she moves and gets settled in. She will be back. As for me I have no plans… 😦
Nice to have you back though and I’m sure we will hear all about the wedding shortly [she says hopefully 😕 ]

Just gathering my thoughts 🙂 🙂

  4. What a beautiful colour Judy.

  5. Lucid Gypsy says:

Perfect light for this shot, my purple ones are losing their colour now, bye-bye clematis for another year, they are real favourites of mine!

    1. Heyjude says:

My neighbour’s paler violet-blue one is doing well still. Better now than the first flush of flowers in June.

Gorgeous colour, had a lovely time strolling through your recent flower posts. Back home now and no dog walks twice a day so more time for blog strolling…

    1. Heyjude says:

Ah I bet you miss Mitch, he seemed like such an agreeable dog 🙂

      1. pommepal says:

Yes I miss him a bit he was a very loving dog, but pets are such a commitment that I am quite happy to love and care for them then hand them back. Full time pet owning is certainly not in my life style.

        1. Heyjude says:

No they certainly cramp the spontaneous wanderlust! I might get a dog eventually, but not for a few years yet.

        2. pommepal says:

Well they certainly make you do regular walking and they are great company.

        3. Heyjude says:

It’s the regular walking that I could do with. I’m not motivated enough to walk every day and I know I should. And need to!

        4. pommepal says:

Is your ankle all ok now? I think I will slip back into my old lazy ways with no dog to take ME for walks…

        5. Heyjude says:

Ankle still painful in the morning, but I am able to walk on it OK. I guess things take longer to heal properly as we get older. Thanks for asking. 🙂

        6. pommepal says:

We just have to grin and bear it, the alternative does not sound too tempting!!!
