  1. Beautiful autumn splendour…

    1. Heyjude says:

It is slowly changing here, but this tree caught the late afternoon sunlight and really lit up.

  2. Patrick says:

Autumn is a great time of the year. The colors the trees create is always amazing and never the same.

    1. Heyjude says:

It is wonderful to see the changes from day to day. And this year we are experiencing a beautiful Indian Summer.

  3. This is a really lovely sight, Jude. 🙂

  4. pommepal says:

Wow it looks on fire, stunning colours…

    1. Heyjude says:

I was struck by that shade of coppery red – or perhaps I should say chestnut red. I always thought the colour came from the nut, but maybe it is from the leaf.

  5. Sue Slaght says:

    Fire indeed. Such fabulous color!

    1. Heyjude says:

I had not realised that horse chestnuts went such a lovely colour, I just think of the tree for its wonderful candelabra flowers and then the conkers!

  6. Lucid Gypsy says:

I love it when there are places to hide under low sweeping branches, I’m five again!

  7. Reconciles me to the idea of Poland for a year! I’m struggling with it at the moment. Thanks.

    1. Heyjude says:

Well you have done the hard part – winter! Autumn can be glorious.

      1. I’ve done autumn too – but before I fell in love. This will be my 6th trip to Warsaw!!!! And the twins are only 3

    2. Heyjude says:

I thought you’d like the horse chestnut tree, when I saw what it was I thought of you and your love of them. I admire your ability to keep on flying all that way, it really puts me off going to Australia. Are you seriously considering a whole year in Poland?

      1. Yes. Cuts down on the flights!

        1. Heyjude says:

Well there is that! I wonder if I could wangle 12 months in Australia?
