Another slipper orchid, but this one has been edited by using a dry-brush effect which makes it more painterly. The original image wasn’t sharp enough for my liking, but I love the colours and shape. This one is Paphiopedilum ‘The Earl’
Oh my, how beautiful!
Gorgeous! Where do you find your dry brush, Jude?
Photoshop Elements Artistic effects Sue. I like it better than the watercolour.
Thanks, Jude!
Love this one. Well done Jude!
Thank you Amy 🙂
Really gorgeous, Jude. Now I see why it’s called a ‘slipper orchid’.
The photo lends itself very well to dry brush, beautiful.
Thanks Gilly. A lovely shaped flower.
Beautiful!
Love this effect Jude. Definitely looks like a painting.
It works better than the watercolour effect which tends to darken images a bit too much. One day I’ll post a few effects of the same image and see what everyone else prefers.
That is a beautiful effect Jude makes me feel like painting it…
I like your art better than nature’s in this case: the original was a bit fleshy for my taste!
Orchids are very ‘sexual’ I find. Some more than others!
Makes a beautiful header, Jude. I’m off to play 🙂
