Malus transitoria, the cut-leaf crabapple, on account of the shape of its leaves, comes from north-western China. It features a mass of tiny white flowers borne in spring, followed by dense clusters of small yellow fruitlets in the autumn. The autumn leaf colours are particularly pronounced in this species.

They are not actual cherries, but cherry size if you know what I mean, so much smaller than a lot of crabapples. Sorry to confuse you

It’s so pretty Jude. Here we ( not me personally) make jelly from our red crab apples. Are these edible?
Not sure Sue. I think they are, but like all crabapples they are very bitter; this one is mainly grown for the colour and of course birds love the fruits (they are very small fruits like cherries)
The crabs with small fruit are so pretty, it would be nice to have space for one!
