Polianthus so enjoyed the bench challenge she decided to open up her own challenge this year, in the form of fountains. She is running a monthly theme and I hope that this one is acceptable for ‘in a garden‘ this month. Though it obviously isn’t natural, I found this one in a lovely courtyard garden in the suburb of Carouge in Geneva, Switzerland. In fact I found a lot of fountains in Geneva which I hope to share with you throughout the year. And I am sure that Poli would love to see what fountains you have managed to capture during your travels. Please join in.
Oh… another to get obsessive about Jude? I will just look in on this one. This first one of yours reminds me of horse troughs I have seen around, but can’t remember where!!!
They do resemble horse troughs, but Geneva seems to be full of them and very useful too. Not to mention the gorgeous spouts – watch out for more…
Will do…
Stunning capture!
How lovely, such a beautiful little piece of art!
Lovely, I can almost hear the soothing gurgle of water. What a cool spout! And this reminds me of a fountain shot I have from Geneva, which I’d forgotten about …
Geneva has some gorgeous fountains!
I found the photo this evening, and although it’s not a close-up, the spout seems to be very similar to the one in your photo (very different fountain, though). Must be common there.
They are, but there are some very different ones too, which I’ll post once the correct theme comes around 🙂
There’s a lot of possible theme crossover, I found, when looking through my archives. Stone or stately? Urban or fun? Choice, choices!
