I think most of them do, in my last house I had the one that flowers in winter on bare stems. Yes yours would do much better in the ground, most things do really don’t they?
This one seems to be an evergreen. I’ll try a bigger pot as I want to keep it in the courtyard which doesn’t get much sun – maybe a little in mid-summer, but so far it is quite shady. And I don’t have any ground there, just granite slabs and gravel!
I love the sweet perfume of the viburnum. I think they grow to be quite a large shrub. At least they do over here..
Having roamed around the world for most of my life I’m not sure what a home should feel like other than comfy and a place to want to be in. I am looking forward to making changes and buying furniture and getting it how I like after being in the rental for so long, but I’m not rushing. I want to do it properly. To be honest I enjoy the planning as much as the execution. Having second thoughts about the remodelling – seems more trouble than it’s worth and I think there may be better things to spend the money on (like a trip to Australia…)
I find mine a little tricky, but when it works then it is quite astonishing!
Guess what I just discovered, Jude, showing my total ignorance about cameras? I thought my telephoto lens was a macro lens. I didn’t realize they are two different things. I really should take a photography class. What I have is a telephoto lens, not a macro lens. 🙂
Oh, well, you should still have fun with it; getting close in from far away 😀
Lovely capture, Jude!
Viburnum is one of my favourites.
This is a bit sad. I need to re-pot it I think. Or find a space in the garden.
I think they do best in the ground. But a large enough pot would suffice if it’s well fed.
I’ll see what I can find 🙂
Must be heaps of space? Are you keeping stuff in pots pending your garden plan? X
just beautiful and I love the composition of the photo- the white and green and the blur background.
Very pretty plant and an excellent macro, Jude. 🙂
Thanks Sylvia, just taking some pictures of the garden although this one came with me.
But what if I’m not feeling chatty?
Then keep shut
Or maybe I should just ignore you… dumdedum de dumdedum…
You’re just a meany.
😛
I thought you weren’t talking?
Ssssh. I wrote that in sign language.
Beautiful and scented I hope?
It is a very small plant, I think I need to repot it. My neighbour had a huge bush and I know that had a fragrance.

I’m afraid this one will have to stay in a pot so it won’t get too big.
One day you may be able to let it escape…
We had one till we got a new fence this year. Now I’m not so sure. Inviting shot Jude. Does it feel entirely like home now? X

How could I disagree? X
Why do I get the impression you are sitting with a smirk on your face, looking all innocent?
Smirk! Me? I wouldn’t know how xx
😀 😀
More likely I was wishing I could come. One last BBQ tonight and it’s home tomorrow. Cooking again will not come naturally xx
You have reminded me that we have still to buy a BBQ!
Beautiful macro, great details, lovely colors 🌺
Thank you. Sadly the flowers are all gone now.
A wonderful macro, Jude, full of vivid detail and depth. 🙂
Glad you like it Cathy. Didn’t you recently buy a macro lens?
Haha, yes, I did buy a macro lens and I have to sheepishly admit I haven’t tried it even once! Soon, I hope! 🙂
