We are sadly lacking in fountains, in the whole of the south west as far as I know.
Sometimes there are some in NT gardens and other gardens, but I can’t think of any in towns or cities offhand. And certainly not drinking fountains.

A lot of European cities seem to have fountains, historically they would have been drinking fountains I suppose. I wonder why we don’t have them?
I’m sure we did, but modern planners probably did away with a lot of them….

Oh, yes. I have already picked up a few (dozen)… now going to Google plants that love windy locations and which snails loathe. Wish me luck!
I like this one, I love the flowers, and it is a bit more “charming” than the other swiss stone fountains, which tend to be more square and austere – it’s the southern influence that makes Geneva so charming
