Vivid! 🙂 🙂 Anyway- why are you always complaining about the weather/crowds when you have moved to paradise of your own free will? Some people are never satisfied. 🙂
OH told me when we got back that there is a September festival in St Ives this week. Oh, well. We’ll try again next week, I’m sure the Aussies will want to see it, even if we end up going in on the train.
Perfect match of fly and background! Flies in fact.
Yes, that other fly escaped my attention. Been doing some rock photography today Meg. About time I got a post or two up for you!
Please!
Ugh, that fly
Just think of it as a pollinator Sue 🙂
Nope, I think of it as a microbe carrier….
Well, true…
Quite…
I love the contrast of the gorgeous flower and…the fly. 🙂
There were a lot of flies around this year, not so many bees or hoverflies or butterflies 😦

Where can you train from? 🙂
There is a park ‘n’ ride at Lelant Saltings, about 5 minutes drive away from us. Be an expensive way of doing it though if there are a few of us!
Nowhere you can park around the outskirts and walk in? You’ll have to get your sleuthing head on. 🙂
Did I ever mention that St Ives is very hilly? Could walk from here I suppose, but I’m not going to 😀
oh this is gorgeous and you are still playing along which is just wonderful. Thank you 🙂
It’s nice to get my flowers out of the folders and on display Becky. I do have rather a lot of them 🙂
Lovely photo. I didn’t spot the second fly either until someone mentioned it. 🙂
No that one was well concealed.
I don’t like flies (who does?) but I’ll make an exception for this lovely image. So clever.
The blue-green flies are prettier to photograph. I prefer butterflies and bees but there weren’t as many this year 😦
