During the month of March, Becky, Queen of the Square format, is back. This month she would like to see anything spiky, jagged, bristly, serrated, prickly or barbed in whatever interpretation you like. The only rule: it must be a square.
March Squares
That’s an interesting one!
Mmm… not a great photo and I’m not sure what it is, though it looks Australian.
It’s not that bad though 😊 I’m doing a daily photo this year on my other blog and they aren’t always the greatest. Your flower reminded me of bottle brush plant, which is Aussie, but I don’t think it’s that.
I was going to say it looks like an Australian native, but not sure which one. Maybe someone can help out. It’s a lovely colour.
Beautiful, Jude. Looks like it’s related to the Bottlebrush.
Wow, neat! Great pictures!
Looks rather like a left-behind cheerleader’s pom-pom. Forlorn, but very pretty.
Haha… could be. You don’t recognise it? I thought it might be some kind of Myrtle given the size of the leaves.
The “pom-pom” is very like the various myrtles I’ve seen, but I was stumped by the leaves. They look smaller, rounder, and shinier than any I’m familiar with.
Brian thinks it may be some kind of Lilli Pilli. But I agree the leaves look very different.
It’s lovely, and reminds me of a tassel of some kind – possibly on a curtain tie back!
Yes, it does rather.
how unusual , are you sure it is real?!!
I have asked Brian if he knows what it is.
Thank you 🙂
Possibly a Small Leaf Lilli Pilli
Ah, Lilli Pilli. Will look it up. I have seen one before. Thanks Brian 🙂
You’re welcome Jude 🙂
