“Little Dancer” Helenium Moerheim Beauty. My Garden August 2019. Click image to enlarge

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. Very popular here for the late summer garden. I have a dark red one too which is also lovely. They do get nibbled by S&S though so I wasn’t sure they’d survive.

        1. Apparently the cricket at Headingly was rained off. Loads of folks seeking shelter. Mostly in costume. I felt quite left out. Till I got soaked πŸ˜•β˜”πŸ’•

    1. “Helenium is a genus of annuals and herbaceous perennials in the sunflower family native to the Americas. ” So yes, a member of the extensive daisy family, I do love daisy-like flowers!!

    1. Hehe! I love that image – and I think it may stay with me! And probably be appropriate in all this windy weather!
