Festival of Leaves #13

copper beech in the lane

A final look at these lovely trees, which have provided me with a splash of brightness in these dull days of late autumn. And I shall take this opportunity to wish everyone a lovely festive season, celebrating whichever way you choose to and thank you for visiting my blog(s) during the year. I appreciate each and every one of your visits, likes and especially comments. Thank you.

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. Meri Kirihimete Jude. Itโ€™s been lovely seeing your garden and walks, and vicariously enjoying your youthful adventures. Looking forward to more next year. Wishing you joy and peace and happy gardening.

        1. I misread that at first as ‘Victorian’ Christmas and thought, wow, that will be different! A busy time for a wedding, but I’m sure it will be fun. Weddings are as long as they are not your own!! Hope things are good where you are, we keep hearing about all the horrid fires over there. And the drought.

  2. Lovely colour . . and the last for a while by the looks of the wet stuff that keeps falling! Have a lovely Christmas, and really looking forward to a month of light with you in January xxx
