A post from September 2014 about a rather unusual garden in Herefordshire. A delightful county to explore if you are ever in the West Midlands. This post was a contribution to the lovely Restless Jo’s weekly walks.
Garden Portrait: Westonbury Mill Water Gardens

The Water Tower with Gargoyles
Winding paths through the Bog Garden
Cool, shady areas
Butterflies Galore
A folly or two
Just a quiet, tranquil space to enjoy the bird song, running water, autumnal light and colours with plenty of benches to sit on and admire the surrounding Herefordshire hills and meadows.
You will find this unusual garden in the beautiful Welsh Marches close to the ‘Black-and-White’ village of Pembridge.

Blissful looking. I would love to visit.
Oh what fun. My sort of garden. And if it’s in Herefordshire, why not? Another excuse to visit this part of the world.
Ooh, the lovely Rjo! Must be me, then 🤣💕 On my phone so can’t do it justice. Will pop by later.
What an amazing place, and I just love the follies! It is just amazing what this couple have achieved.
It’s a quirky garden, glad we got to visit it.
Lucky you! I would have spent hours there!
It is a beautiful Garden!
Fun!
What a lovely spot, Jude. I could sit there quite happily and enjoy the surroundings.
Best wishes, Pete. x
I’m grateful you reposted this Flashback, Jude, as I must have missed it the first time around — or else it was before I found this blog site. Thank you!
You are most welcome.
What a delightful garden, pity it’s so far away! 🙂
Most places are far away from here! 😊
Nearly forgot to pop back. I sort of remember it. Good whirl of gold in there. How’s it going healthwise? Busy week so I’ll be here when I can.
What a fabulous place to visit – one for the list! The bottle folly is great fun. 🙂
Start saving those wine bottles 😉
Must drink more, LOL!
I can help 😁
Hehe! Sounds like a pretty good idea… 🙂
