H is for Heliotropium

This variety is Peruvianum ‘Marine.’

Heliotrope is widely grown in the garden and also containers as it has the most unusual scent as well as delightful blue to dark purple flowers. The name “heliotrope” derives from the old idea that the inflorescences of these plants turned their rows of flowers to the sun. It is sometimes referred to as ‘Cherry Pie’ because of its fragrance.
