Plant Focus

Although I prefer the bronze, copper and almost black tulips the most, I did plant a few pink ones.

This is a late flowering one (supposed to be May) called ‘Greenland‘ – an orchid rose-pink with green stripes. With all the sunshine we have been having, it opened this week!

oh but this is a gorgeous pink one so I am glad you did plant a few of them . . . . hope its early opening though doesn’t play havoc with your planting display.

The others are going over now, but they have given me pleasure throughout the month. And the irises are growing now.

Another pretty one! I walked into town this afternoon in a snowstorm of pink blossom. πŸ™‚ So lovely! (in between showers) Lots of tulips about including a pretty dark pink with white spiky edging.
Do you expect to get your laptop back before you go away? I may be paying a flying visit to Bristol this weekend but not sure if I can justify the expense, etc. It’s my friend down there’s 80th and her daughter’s throwing a surprise party and has asked me if I can come.

Won’t get the laptop back until we return. But no wifi anyway so I won’t be blogging until the end of next week. Get yourself to Bristol, 80 is a good age and you’d only regret not going.

I know!!! πŸ™‚ But it’s complicated. Have a good trip in case we don’t speak before then.

Gorgeous Jude! I’m not surprised it has opened – we were in Cornwall for the Easter – it was glorious! I’m wondering why I live in the (currently) snowy north instead of the glorious south-west! You live in a truly gorgeous part of the world. πŸ™‚ x

These didn’t last nearly as long as the other colours, but the pink ones in the courtyard, which doesn’t receive any direct sunlight, lasted over a month!
